Under general supervision performs a variety of semi-skilled manual labor in the maintenance of County parks and open space; carries out park cleaning and other duties as assigned.Please Note:This is a temporary, part-time position that does not include benefits, with an end date of September 30, 2024. (Illustrative Only)
 • Performs manual labor
 • Operates a variety of light and heavy equipment
 • Cleans and maintains County facilities and park amenities
 • Performs grounds maintenance, including weeding
 • Performs other duties as assigned
 
 Essential functions of this position include but are not limited to driving; lifting and carrying up to fifty (50) pounds when loading and unloading trucks; team lifting up to 100 pounds; working with and around other staff and the public. This position works outside most of the time. 
 

Any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver's license. Final job offer will be contingent upon a satisfactory 5-year motor vehicle report. The ideal candidate is able to work weekends and holidays; has experience working with customer service; experience with hand and power tools; experience with janitorial and cleaning procedures of the position.Preferred Qualifications include previous work experience with a Parks department; two years of general maintenance experience; two years of customer service work experience.This position is non-exempt from overtime.This position is safety sensitive.
