Part Time position: Thursday-Sunday, 8am-6pm.
This position is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the Parks and Recreation division.

MAJOR DUTIES:

• Provides information to the public by phone, by electronic mail, and in person about department programs and services.
• Assists with daily building and grounds maintenance duties; monitors restrooms for cleanliness and picks up trash and litter as necessary.
• Drafts and types bookings, reports, schedules, and memoranda. Use ETRACK to help with reservations, program registrations, and community portal.
• Receives and processes payments for facilities rental and recreational activities, including fishing, canoeing, and kayaking.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

• Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of relevant county ordinances and department policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of department programs and facilities.
• Skill in performing mathematical calculations.
• Skill in maintain accurate records.
• Skill in operating modern office equipment.
• Skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint.
• Skill in interpersonal relations
• Skill in oral and written communication.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education.
• Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of South Carolina for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
