THE POSITION
Canyon State Electric is looking for a part-time IT Specialist who will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our technological systems. You will be responsible for providing technical support, managing IT infrastructure, and collaborating with different departments to optimize technology usage.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical support to end-users and address hardware and software issues.
  • Oversee the maintenance and optimization of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve escalated IT problems in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop effective solutions.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, procedures, and configurations.
  • Provide training to end-users and team members on IT topics.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to enhance our IT capabilities.
  • Lead and participate in IT-related projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, and integrations.
  • Manage and document software licenses, ensuring compliance and timely renewals.
  • Coordinate with HR for license assignment and termination during employee onboarding and offboarding.
  • Maintain a comprehensive log of IT assets, including hardware and software.
  • Conduct regular audits, manage inventory lifecycle, and oversee the disposal of outdated equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience as an IT Specialist or similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of hardware, software, and networking technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate in a team environment.

This is a part-time position paid at $20/hr
