Interested in the boating industry? Excel at customer service? Love teaching people how to drive boats? We are seeking a on staff boating instructor.

Looking for someone friendly and fun who is a team player and can provide exceptional customer service to our club members. They also must be able to train members to drive 20-30ft boats with single and twin engines in fresh and saltwater. Preferably also knows how to sail and has some recreational fishing knowledge but not necessary.

Responsibilities:

-Conduct/ manage our On The Water Training program under the guidance of our operations manager: fresh water training, salt water training, locks training, possible sail training.

- assist dock staff in checking in and out members.

- Be able to diagnose/ fix small boat issues and tow boats if necessary

Ideal candidate:

- Takes pride in their job and has attention to detail

- At its core this is a customer service job. Think country club members. Must have great social skills and be able to interact positively with customers providing a first class experience, as well as help them in and out of boat slips on the docks at the marina.
- Candidate should be handy and it's a plus to have the skills to diagnose and repair small issues with a boat fleet.
- Confident handling boats up to 27' without assistance and can train others in a fun professional manner
- Administrative skills such as excel spreadsheet data entry required
- Be a great problem solver under pressure and can help diagnose/ solve problems over the phone
- Must have transportation as we have multiple locations
- Fun work environment but hard work required, longer hours in the summer.

-Must work weekends and major summer holidays.

Required:
-18 and over
-Washington Drivers License
-Washington Boaters Card
-Must be willing to drive to our multiple locations through out Washington
