Located in Greater Boston, MassBay is a comprehensive, open-access community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland, Massachusetts.
Position Summary:
The idealcandidate will join a vibrant and inclusive educational community and have adesire and ability to work with a diverse population.This is a part-time position with no benefits.
The grant funded CyberRange Curriculum Developer will develop, plan, coordinate,and evaluate special cybersecurity training material, methods, and techniquesbased on instructional needs of small businesses, municipalities, andnon-profit employers. The Cyber Range Curriculum Developer will work (in-person or remote) closely with MassBayfaculty and Cyber Range Training Instructor, Cyber Range Manager, and the CyberRange platform provider.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  • In coordination with stakeholder objectives, design, develop, and plan for training materials that address multiple learning styles and modalities of instruction;
  • Leverage in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity concepts to define learning objectives and outcomes;
  • Apply curriculum development best practices to create engaging content that assists in learners' success and retention;
  • Design, develop, adapt, and maintain training material and content based on requirements;
  • Conduct periodic reviews/revisions of the content for accuracy, completeness alignment, and currency;
  • Report on the effectiveness of training content utilizing organizational tools;
  • Create documentation outlining course structure, lesson objectives, and technical details;
  • Maintain accurate records of changes to curriculum, course updates, and version control;
  • Communicate effectively with the team.

Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in Computer Science, InformationTechnology, Information Security, or other field related to area of assignment;with three (3) years experience and/or training in designing and developingtraining cybersecurity materials; or an equivalent combination of education, training,and experience.
PreferredQualifications:

  • Experience working in a diverse environment;
  • Demonstrated commitment to working with underserved students;
  • 3 years of experience in designing and developing training cybersecurity materials;
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and passion for solving challenges;
  • Ability to develop curriculum that speaks to the topic at the appropriate level for the target audience;
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for conducting training and education needs assessment;
  • Knowledge of training and education principles and methods for curriculum design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training and education effects;
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory and training methodologies;
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users;
  • Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods, including alternative ways to inform via written, oral, and visual media;
  • Ability to apply the Instructional Design methodology;
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, or CompTIA Security .
Additional Information:
Salary Range: $65 per hour
Position Type: MCCC Part-Time Grade 5
