Salary: 20 hours per week at $35.00 / hr., flexible between 8:00AM-5:00PM

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; experience in data management and advanced computer skills required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Knowledge and understanding of the use of VDOE’s LACES data management system and the National Reporting System (NRS) Web-Based Data System
• Knowledge of current Assessment Policy and Distance Education Policy for Virginia Adult Education and Literacy Programs
• Knowledge of all current VDOE testing administration and Data Entry procedures
• Remain current on data-entry requirements for all category of program offerings, including IET cohorts
• Proficiency in navigating GED® Manager
• Proficiency with Microsoft suite and other commonly used applications
• Ability to deliver articulate oral presentations and written reports
• Ability to synthesize raw data into accessible reports and/or graphics to be used for program improvement
• Ability to enter data accurately and efficiently within prescribed timelines
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and students and display cultural sensitivity
• Ability to integrate technology with program management
• Ability to manage time effectively
• Ability to perform all tasks independently and accurately

REQUIREMENTS

• Actively attend VDOE data conferences, webinars, and data trainings as requested
• Perform Data Audits on-site in accordance with the schedule and specifications of Region 5’s Data Management Plan
• In conjunction with the RPM, oversee the performance and effectiveness of the Data Entry Team, including FERPA compliance
• Ensure program data integrity and security as required by VDOE policy
• Prepare all data management systems for beginning-of and end-of-year activities
• Accurately enter and update any student, staff, of class information in a timely manner
• Assist in identifying target audiences and how best to reach these populations
• Contact students who have expressed interested through GED Manager
• Secure answers for specific data-related questions or concerns from Region 5 staff
• Synthesize proxy hours for upload, as applicable
• Manage the upload of student attendance, when available
• Attend Leadership Team Meetings
• Provide monthly update on the 6 indicators of service via LACES NRS Tables
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
