    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Conduct disciplinary hearings: Preside over student disciplinary hearings, ensuring a fair and unbiased process for all parties involved.
    • Examine student disciplinary cases, including documentation, witness statements, and relevant evidence, to understand the context and issues at hand.
    • Conduct hearings with students, parents/ guardians, school administrators, teachers,
    • Interpret policies and regulations: Apply federal, state, and local laws, as well as school district policies and regulations, to make informed decisions regarding disciplinary actions.
    • Determine appropriate actions: Evaluate the information gathered during the hearings and determine appropriate disciplinary measures or interventions in line with the district's guidelines and best practices.
    • Document proceedings: Prepare detailed and accurate reports summarizing the hearing proceedings, including findings of fact, conclusions, and recommendations for corrective actions.
    • Maintain confidentiality: Handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality and ensure that all parties involved in the hearings are treated with respect and fairness.
    • Stay updated on school board policies, regulations, and educational policies to ensure compliance during the hearing process.
    JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Hold an admin K12- administration endorsement
    • Previous experience as an elementary or secondary assistant principal or principal
    • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws related to student discipline and special education
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
    • Impartiality and the ability to make fair and objective decisions
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain confidentiality
    • Familiarity with educational policies, regulations, and best practices
    • Proficiency in using technology and computer applications
