    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Assist with state reports and monitor school level information and processes that impact state reporting submissions.
    • Implement data entry, validation, and quality control processes to maintain accurate and up-to-date student records.
    • Develop, implement and maintain an onboarding process for new information system users.
    • Lead the online enrollment initiative and collaborate with other staff members who are also responsible for enrollment practices.
    • Provide in-depth technical support and continuous training for the student information management system and related applications.
    • Provide direct support to teachers, administrators and support/clerical staff in the use and operation of the student information system to include enrollment, attendance, gradebook, scheduling, incident management and others.
    • Monitor the accuracy and timely entry of student and staff data into the student information system, ensuring compliance with division and state policies.
    • Perform regular data audits and clean-ups to maintain the integrity and accuracy of the information stored in the student information system. Work directly with school-based staff to address data quality issues. Provide coaching to prevent future data errors.
    • Develop and deliver small and large group training sessions to end users on the effective use of the student information system, including data input, gradebook, attendance tracking, and report utilization.
    • Deliver individualized training sessions to new staff users with regular check-ins until a certain level of proficiency is achieved.
    • Develop and maintain user guides, tutorials, and training materials to facilitate self-paced learning.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of the student information system processes and procedures for reference and training purposes.
    • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the student information system team leads or director.
    JOB REQUIREMENTS:
    • Possession of a bachelor’s degree in computer science/MIS, and experience in writing computer programs and performing routine systems analysis; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that would provide the above noted knowledge, skill, and ability is required.
    • Experience working with Virginia SOL testing platforms, score files and uploads is preferred.
    • 5 years experience in a PK-12 setting is preferred.
    • Thorough knowledge of the principles, concepts, and techniques of computer systems analysis, programming and state reporting is preferred..
    • Knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of relational database design, SQL, and database applications development/support is required.
    • Experience working with information systems in a networked environment is required.
    • Advanced in a variety of computer operating systems and programs, such as Mac OS, Microsoft Windows, Excel, Numbers, etc. is required.
    • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to set priorities and to meet deadlines is preferred.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical individuals is preferred.
    • Strong problem solving, analytical and conceptual skills; ability to create original concepts/theories is preferred.
    • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment is required.
