Job Description:

* Assist with planning and implementation of a daily program of developmentally appropriate activities for preschool age children.

* Supervise children in the daily operation of the CDEC.

* Model appropriate adult-child interaction for college students in training.

* Assist in completing anecdotal records on each child.

* Attend CDEC staff meetings.

* Prepare, serve, and clean -up meals and/or snacks.

* Carry out housekeeping duties as assigned.

* Demonstrate positive relationships with coordinator, children, parents, staff, college students, and members of the community.

* Maintain a commitment to professionalism through participation in professional development activities.

* Work flexible hours to meet the unique requirements of the CDEC.

* Engage in institutional service, professional development, and other duties as assigned by the Director of the CDEC, Director of Teacher Education, the Dean of Health Science, Public Safety, and Education, and/or the Vice President of Academic Affairs.

* Complete annual mandatory compliance training.

* Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to assist with the goals of the CDEC.

Requirements:

* Successful completion of required Florida Child Care or willingness to complete the next college term.

* Work cooperatively and effectively with other members and parents to meet the goals and objectives of the CDEC.

* Demonstrate work history of consistent attendance, punctuality, and professionalism.

* CDA credential or equivalent preferred.

* Experience with young children in a classroom/childcare setting preferred
