Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Present as professional coaches/instructors as well as hosts and guides.
• Present ourselves as safety conscious employees, minimizing risk to injury.
• Work as a team with all departments.
• Delivering group and individual instruction and training covering a range of mountain biking skills, to guests of all ages.
• Attend ongoing training to keep up to date with contemporary concepts and progressions, striving to better our teaching and riding techniques.
• Participating in the recruitment of volunteers as appropriate
• Performing other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Minimum of Expert/Intermediate Mountain Bike riding skills
• PMBIA Certification is preferred.
• Prior Mountain Bike instructing and guiding, or other teaching experience preferred.
• Knowledge of implementation and facilitation of technical, and/or specialty training events and programs.
• Teaching and facilitation skills
• Ability to assess training needs and objectives
• Able to Mountain Bike for extended periods of time, requiring lifting, bending, and twisting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
