Description

The CAD Designer is responsible for creating, editing and finalizing plans for sports construction projects. These projects may include field layouts, seaming plans, color renderings, drainage plans, section and details. This position will also assist in the re-creating of logos and field artwork by tracing images with AutoCAD.

General Duties

• Develop complete sets of site development projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D including site geometry, utility, erosion and sediment control, grading/drainage plans and details in accordance with client and GeoSurfaces. Ability to analyze surveys, field notes, maps, aerial photographs, and other materials to identify potential project constraints and the best approach in developing and completing projects on time and on budget.
• Coordinate with and consult other workers to design, layout, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems.
• Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
• Position instructions and comments onto drawings.
• Modify and revise designs to correct deficiencies or to reduce production problems.
• Layout and draw schematic, orthographic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components and assemblies.
• Maintain organization within the existing drawing database.
• Strong emphasis on sports lighting.
