GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

Assists the Associate Director of Graduate and Continuing Education Recruitment in planning, organization, and administration of graduate recruitment. Assists with Continuing Education undergraduate recruitment activities and enrollment management functions as needed.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

Reports directly to the Associate Director of Graduate and Continuing Education Recruitment.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

Supervises subordinate classified, contracted, and student employee personnel assigned to the area (at the discretion of the Assistant Dean of Graduate and Continuing Education Recruitment).

EXAMPLES OF SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists with comprehensive graduate recruitment activities and responsible for meeting established new graduate student enrollment targets (degree and certificate programs).
  • Responsible for proactive, responsive, and timely outreach to students in all phases of the enrollment process.
  • Assists with planning, scheduling and implementing graduate virtual information sessions, on-campus visit programs & events, and the new graduate student orientation.
  • Assists with graduate recruitment travel, e- communication/technology outreach strategies, alumni recruitment initiatives, and telephone outreach.
  • Assists with managing the graduate admissions webpage.
  • Assists with the evaluation of the Graduate and Continuing Education publications, programs, and overall recruitment strategies of the Admissions Office.
  • Assists with liaising between Framingham State University and the regional business and education communities, as well as public and social service agencies. Performs needs assessments with these organizations and makes recommendations for outreach programs.
  • Performs the preparation of statistical data/reports appropriate to graduate recruitment.
  • Actively contributes to deliver a working environment that promotes optimism, collaboration, respect, solutions conscious dialogue, and exceptional service to everyone.
  • Available to serve on special and/or standing committees of the University.
  • Strives to maintain and augment knowledge and skills in the admissions field through advanced study, professional activities or participation in conferences, seminars, workshops and similar professional gatherings.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work Environment: This position can provide some flexibility for partial remote work in accordance with the University's Staff Telework Guidelines.

Expected hours of work: This is a full-time position exempt position. During peak seasons, some evening and weekend hours may be required.


Job Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor's degree, preferably in communications, marketing or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years related experience, preferably in higher education.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to communicate to a range of diverse target audiences.
  • Strong public speaking skills.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze communications data
  • Strong administrative skills, attention to detail and capacity to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong time management skills to meet all deadlines
  • Proven record of effective collaboration and work with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends when necessary.
  • Ability to travel to off-campus locations for events and recruitment.
  • A valid driver's license, and access to reliable transportation is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree and five (5) plus years of professional admissions experience working in higher education (preference in graduate and/or continuing education recruitment).
  • Knowledgeable of FSU programs.
  • Knowledge of enrollment marketing communications and trends that support student recruitment initiatives across multiple platforms, including print, digital, social media, and web.
  • Demonstrated experience with Technolutions Slate CRM, Axiom Elite, Ellucian Banner, and programs related to the Unified Digital Campus (e.g., Argos and Xtender).
Additional Information:

This is a full-time, exempt, benefits-eligible position in the Association of Professional Administrators (APA) bargaining unit with a union title of Assistant Director. The starting salary range is $56,500-$60,000.
