GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The department of Communication, Media, and Performance at Framingham State University is seeking an instructor for a class in Sports Broadcasting. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in television and radio broadcasting of sporting events, and will be able to provide instruction in the technical and performative aspects of broadcasting. An advanced degree is preferred. In addition to attending regularly scheduled class meetings, the instructor will supervise the broadcasting of one Framingham State Rams football game on a Saturday or Sunday in the fall of 2024.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in TV and/or radio broadcasting of sporting events. Experience with or a demonstrated willingness to participate in teaching, mentoring, research, or service activities that promote the growth of an equitable, diverse, and inclusive academic environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Advanced degree (MA, MFA, or PhD)
This is a part-time, non-benefited, visiting lecturer position.
