HOERBIGER Corporation of America (HCA) is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to focus on Employee Relations, as well as training/developing supervisors in our manufacturing plant. Looking for a champion who also has experience in the areas of employee relations, performance management, training and development, talent acquisition, HR policies and procedures, benefits programs administration and legal compliance. The successful candidate will be a hands-on and results driven individual.

Position works on site (no remote/hybrid). Normal hours Monday through Friday. The Generalist will also work other shifts (at least one day per month) to meet with employee for meetings, coaching, trainings, etc. Local candidates only; no relocation benefits provided

Duties and Responsibilities

• Employee Relations (maintain positive work environment by identifying employee concerns and needs; coach supervisors/managers; assist with investigations, exit interviews; disciplinary and termination paperwork)
• Training and Development (conduct training sessions for supervisors/managers, review, track & document training; maintain training logs; assist in identifying training needs and providing recommendations)
• Talent Acquisition and Onboarding (job descriptions; recruiting and hire process for non-exempt roles; attend local career fairs coordinate travel for external candidates; drug screen/background checks; orientation and onboarding; employee uniform administration)
• P&C Administration (serve as employee advocate, providing timely resolution to issues; assist with employee events; HRIS & employee records; assistance with audits, respond to unemployment claims, administration of cell phones and badge security system)

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred
• Minimum 3 years in a hands-on Human Resources Generalist role
• Experience coaching both employees and supervisors; excellent mediation and conflict resolution skills
• Experience delivering training sessions for supervisors
• Bilingual English-Spanish Preferred
• HR Certification (PHR and/or SHRM-CP) strongly preferred
• Manufacturing sector experience preferred
• Computer skills: Must have at least Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Office (Outlook/Excel/Word/Powerpoint), HRIS/HRMS, Applicant Tracking System
