Department Overview
Electric Asset Management (EAM) is responsible for the electric system engineering and planning, asset strategy, and risk management across transmission, distribution, and substation asset families. The team leverages a data-driven, standards-based and risk-informed approach to manage electric asset and system health, capacity, and performance. The organization is accountable for asset planning and strategy, standards and work methods, and asset data management for Electric.
As part of the EAM team, the Asset Knowledge Management (AKM) organization is responsible for the guiding the acquisition, management, quality, and access of PG&E’s electric asset data. The team’s objective is to maximize the use of and ensure the trustworthiness of PG&E’s critical electric data assets and includes the development of analytic and situational intelligence tools that leverage this critical data.
Position Summary
The Expert Program Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day functions of the Remote Sensing program – a critical program designed to effectively collect and provision Remote Sensing data (e.g., LiDAR and LiDAR-derived data, satellite imagery, high-resolution oblique and orthographic imagery, etc) required to support EAM’s strategic objectives. The team partners with internal operations (e.g., Land Management, Aviation Services) and vendors to provide remote sensing data, derivative data products and analytic services to our clients to enable regulatory compliance, risk quantification, hazard identification, asset detection and attribution and advanced analytics.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and Oakland based on business needs.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $122,000
Bay Area Maximum: $194,000
