Department Overview

The Strategy Department is responsible for the on-going management, refreshment, and implementation of PG&E’s 10-year True North Strategy.

Position Summary

The Expert Strategy Analyst is a position within the True North Strategy Team and will primarily focus on stakeholder engagement and strategy implementation. The position will play a key role in the management and implementation of the company’s strategy through engagement with key stakeholders across the enterprise, including TNS leads, the Enterprise Change Office, Signposting SMEs, senior leaders, and our general coworker population. The role will also support strategic business plan development, management, and coordination.

The role facilitates the successful execution of the 10-year Strategy through visibility, interdependence, and communication across all strategic Business Plans, management of the Strategy operating rhythm, and early issue escalation and resolution. This person will work closely with members of the TNS team and the strategic Business Plan Leads across the enterprise to create visibility and alignment to meet annual milestones.

The Expert will strengthen the infrastructure to support company performance across all Strategic focus areas.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The preferred location is Oakland, CA. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top half of the range described below, but the decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.​

A reasonable salary range is:​

Bay Area Minimum: $118,000

Bay Area Maximum: $188,000

Job Responsibilities

•  Drives progress, and facilitates roadblock removal across Strategic business plans
• Facilitates the Strategic Operating Rhythm through cross functional strategy forums, quarterly senior leadership offsites and board of director content creation
• Engages with various TNS stakeholders, developing effective communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed and engaged; gathers input and feedback to inform decision-making processes
• Supports the Strategic Operating Rhythm through cross functional strategy forums, quarterly senior leadership offsites and board of director (BOD) content creation
• Coaching of Strategy business plan leads
• Liaisons with the Enterprise Change Office in support of employee adoption
• Liaisons with Marketing & Communications, developing communication strategy

Qualifications 

Minimum:

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Policy, Sociology, Engineering, Physics or other related fields or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 6 years of job-related experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Desired:

• 2 years in a management consultant related role
• High degree of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
• Ability to navigate complex organizations and stakeholder engagement experience; stakeholder mapping a plus
• Highly organized, with demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities at once
• Strong skills in project management and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated knowledge of PG&E business, technology, policy and industry trends
• Proven ability to manage fast paced and highly dynamic situations
