Small, solo, family law firm looking to hire a legal assistant or paralegal. Must have family law experience working in a law firm and a passion for helping clients. Applicants without family law experience will not be considered. Must be proficient in drafting and writing motions, responses to pleadings, and organizing/labeling PDF exhibits for trials and hearings. Applicants without this requisite experience will not be considered.
This position is primarily a work from home position with minimal in office attendance. Must be able to work productively on your own and have an in home office set up with high-speed internet and a working computer.
Job duties include but not limited to drafting correspondences and legal pleadings, preparing trial and hearing exhibits/binders and calendar management. This position entails communicating effectively with clients and court personnel. Must be courteous and not afraid to speak to clients and members of the judiciary. Must be comfortable with technology and tech savvy. Serious inquiries only. Those without family law experience will NOT be considered. Must have experience preparing motions and exhibits for trial/hearings. Must provide two professional references prior to an interview.
