Position Objective:
As a Busser at Marsanne, you will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for our guests by assisting servers and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area. This position offers an excellent learning opportunity for someone who sees themselves in a career as a future Server.
Requirements:
- 1 years of restaurant or hospitality experience preferred.
- Experience in coffee preparation and previous experience as a Barista is preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
- NY Department of Health & Mental Hygiene Food Protection Certificate preferred.
- Fluent in written and spoken English with basic math skills.
- Friendly, helpful, and positive attitude.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Demands:
- This position requires seeing, hearing, speaking, frequent use of hands, reaching, frequently lifting 30 pounds, standing for long periods, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours. Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays.
Responsibilities:
- Complete opening and closing side work as directed by management.
- Prepare the dining room for service by setting tables and decorations.
- Inspect and clean assigned restrooms regularly.
- Serve water to guests and refill glasses as needed.
- Clear tables and reset them for the next guests.
- Remove used items from tables and stack them for cleaning.
- Handle the preparation and service of coffee and tea.
- Polish and stock cutlery and glasses.
- Assist with table set up and adjustments as needed.
- Stay updated on restaurant operations and participate in training opportunities.
