Reporting Structure

Overview

The Distribution Center (DC) Administrator coordinates all documents related to internal as well as external customers including but not limited to customer orders, pick tickets, delivery receipts, Certificates of Analysis (COAs), Safety Data Sheets (SDSs), etc. This includes clerical activities related to the shipping and receiving of all internal and external customers as well as maintaining the required records/reports. The DC Admin works with the DC Manager to ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met. This position works with every level of LBBS department employees to ensure timely inbound and outbound product.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently process delivery receipts and forward appropriate receiving paperwork to the various Supply Chain departments.
  • Accurately and efficiently processes shipping bills of lading and forward appropriate paperwork to the proper departments.
  • Fill (Scan) Bills of Lading (BOLs) and COAs.
  • Order and restock supplies for the warehouse distribution center including but not limited to boxes, stretch wrap, labels, etc.
  • Schedule carriers for delivery of material into warehouse (as needed).
  • Answer the main warehouse telephone line.
  • Assist DC Manager as needed for the successful daily operations of the Distribution Center.
  • Understand and adhere to/follow the department procedures and policies.
  • Adhere to and support the principles of Responsible Distribution™.
  • Assume other activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma / GED – College degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years related experience preferred.

  • Proven analytical and distribution center management skills.
  • Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent customer service and client relations skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow up skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Computer skills, including internet navigation, and various office applications. (Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook. Excel/Word knowledge a plus)

Physical Requirements

  • Standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time - up to 8 hours or more per day.
  • Appearance at all times must represent the company image.
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Fast-paced environment: subject to numerous schedule and priority changes and short notice activity.
