Job Description

Central Florida Pulmonary Group is looking for Sleep Lab Scheduler to join our team! This position is non-exempt status, full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Altamonte Springs, Florida are encouraged to apply. The scheduler is responsible for scheduling appointments for patients in a fast paced environment, following up with patients prior to their appointment, sending correspondence, and communicating with staff. This individual will have excellent communication and computer skills.

Sleep Scheduler Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Answers a high volume of phone calls
• Schedules sleep study appointments for both established and new patients
• Perform insurance authorization for sleeps studies and verify insurance benefits
• Confirms sleep appointments
• Responsible for follow up calls to schedule appointments for existing patients
• Advises patients on details of appointments and how they can prepare for sleep study
• Sends paperwork to new patients
• Communicates with staff, nurses, and physicians
• Data entry into computer programs
• Provides general company information to patients

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of medical office scheduling
• Background in insurance verification and authorization
• Bilingual required
• Strong data entry skills for use in various computer programs (Greenway Prime Suite EMR, Excel, outlook)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
