Hope Media Group is Hiring a Shared Services Manager Near Humble, TX

Job Summary:
The Shared Services Manager serves as a member of the Accounting Department and reports directly to the VP, Accounting. A hands-on position that will lead an Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Shared Services team. This position will be responsible for improving and creating processes as well as strengthening internal controls for a fast-moving Christian media company. This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities and long-term optimization of accounts payable, billing, collections and payroll. Hope Media Group the home of KSBJ, WayFM, Vida Unida and NGEN radio. This position resides in Houston, TX.
Essential Functions:
Management
  • This position will be responsible for improving, managing and creating business critical processes as well as strengthening internal controls for an expanding ministry.
  • Oversight and effective management of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll, including responsibility for the accuracy of all data being produced by the team.
  • Input and manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, including invoicing, vendor/customer relationships and cross-team collaboration.
  • Implement controls and procedures for accurate payables and receivables management.
  • Insure the integrity and accuracy of accounts payable and accounts receivable agings and reporting.
  • Speak into and help analyze the cash flows and financial impacts for A/R and A/P activity.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and both company, customer and vendor requirements, and government regulations.
  • Reconciliation of customer and vendor agings and coordinate audit requests
  • Oversee month-end closing activities and reporting for A/R and A/P
  • Prepare monthly activity schedules and compliance reports including function Key Performance Indicators
Leadership
  • Hands-on position that will lead a team of 4-5
  • Coach, develop and hire high performing team. Provide mentoring and coaching to the team, and continually support and promote their professional development.
Demonstrated Faith
  • Pray for coworkers in team meetings or with donors/listeners as needed.
  • Participate On-Air fundraising.
  • Participate in ministry wide Christian bible studies.
  • Attend weekly Hope Huddle and team meetings for prayer and devotions.
  • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ. Maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of the organization

Requirements
Education
  • Degree: Bachelor's Degree highly preferred
Experience
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience with a minimum of 4 years as a Manager/Supervisor
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with other departments, to promote best practices, and to develop solutions to business challenges.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Previous experience with process improvement, strengthening internal controls and managing transactional systems/workflows like Ramp, Bill.com

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Immediate supervision of a small group of employees. Recommends candidates for hiring, termination; prepares and conducts performance appraisals and salary reviews and applies company policies.
