Cape Resorts Group is Hiring a HVAC Mechanic Near Cape May, NJ
Department: Maintenance
Position: Mechanical Technician / Plumbing & HVAC
Reports To: Director of Projects
These duties may be described as, but not limited to:
- Be able to follow directions from supervisor to perform maintenance and general repair of equipment around commercial properties and hotels.
- Completing assigned tasks and accurate record keeping of work.
- Respond to emergencies as directed.
- Seasonal requirements may include varying work schedules.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Basic knowledge to assist Technician(s) troubleshooting, replacing, and installing mechanicals.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing repairs.
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility.
- Must be able to work safely on ladders.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to complete tasks for up to 4 hours in length.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds on a regular and continuing basis, occasionally up to 100 lbs.
- Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
- Must read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school, Tech or equivalent education required.
- Must possess basic concepts & understanding of mechanical equipment.
- Track work assigned over a training period to complete the schedule of on-the-job-learning.
- Must have the ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, or certificates.
- All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance as per company standards.
Trade Requirements for Training:
- Care and use of tools such as cutters, torches & pipe benders, etc.
- Use of testing and measuring devices such as gauges, sensors, scales, etc.
- Under direction of Technician, safely handle refrigerants, equipment containing pressurized liquids and gases and other related chemicals used within HVAC and other trades.
- Assist and learn to assemble piping, soldering & brazing plus, testing of related equipment.
- Attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings as required.
