Position: Nail Technician/Esthetician

Reports To: Spa Manager

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Position Overview: We are looking for a compassionate Esthetician/Nail Technician to provide nail care treatments and perform skin, body, and hair removal treatments. to our customers based on their needs and preferences. 

If you’re up-to-date with your license and know how to provide excellent customer service, we’d like to meet you.

These duties may be described as, but not limited to:

• Providing waxing, facials, and body treatments
• Interviewing clients to obtain information about contraindications, and examining skin to evaluate the suitability of treatments.
• Advising clients on skincare and recommending suitable treatments and home care regimens.
• Paint fingernails and toenails
• Clean, cut and shape nails
• Recommend colors
• Remove previously applied polish
• Prepare and clean beauty station in-between appointments
• Sterilize equipment before use
• Inform clients about additional services and offers (e.g. loyalty discounts, eyebrow waxing)
• Give hand and foot massages
• Offer nail care treatment tips (e.g. how to strengthen nails and how to make manicures last longer)
• Take an interest in customers (e.g. chatting with them during appointments and remembering their preferences)

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School or equivalent education required.
• A current valid NJ State Cosmetology or Esthetic license required.
• Prefer a minimum of 2 years of previous experience.
