SUMMARY
Manages the Corporate Compliance, accreditations, and internal audit programs by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES are listed below in order of importance, from most important to least important.
Ensures that the organization's policies and procedures comply with regulatory and ethical standards
Develops, implements, and manages compliance assessment tools and systems, regularly reports findings, and makes recommendations to leadership. Tracks, monitors, and trends the effectiveness of corrective actions.
Develops and implements comprehensive accreditation strategies and processes to ensure the organization meets and maintains standards set by accrediting bodies
Coordinates and oversees accreditation teams, and the preparation of accurate and complete documentation for accreditation applications and renewals.
Develops internal audit program to include review and audit procedures, measuring organization compliance with required standards, licensures, regulations, and agreements. Performs internal audits, communicates audit results, and implements a corrective action plan to staff and their leadership. Tracks steps and maintains detailed records of the internal audit program.
Oversees and maintains the organization compliance documentation, such as Operations Manual, Standard Operating Procedures, etc.
Examines Corrective Action and Preventive Action activities undertaken for compliance through observation and data analysis, providing follow-up to respective leadership.
Oversees maintenance and content of the organization's compliance schedule to include licenses, inspections, tests, and other reoccurring compliance certifications. Coordinates notification to appropriate staff for status update and confirmation of completion through submission of verification documentation.
Implements compliance improvement strategies using best practices on a project basis designed to achieve departmental goals.
Supports departmental projects designed to safeguard the assets of the organization.
Advises and develops recommendations to the organization's leadership on training topics for staff development in compliance principles and strategies.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises the Internal Audit Specialist. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures. Interviews, hires, and trains team members. Plans, assigns, and directs work flow. Appraises performance, rewards and disciplines team members, addresses complaints, and resolves problems. Provides budget development and management.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITES
Participates in the development and implementation of Corporate Compliance Department objectives.
Performs other job-related tasks as assigned by the Director, Corporate Compliance Services.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or a related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of four years' experience working in auditing and quality management, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous auditing experience preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Driver's License (Class C), car insurance and reliable automobile required.
