Skyla Credit Union is Hiring an Assistant Branch Manager Near Charlotte, NC

Pay Grade: 9
primary functions:
Responsible for directing and administering the operational efforts of the branch. Ensure that the established policies and procedures are followed. Assist Manager in training, directing, and supervising branch personnel. Accountable for branch growth as well as developing and maintaining a quality sales and service culture.
responsibilities:
  • Monitor and supervise the daily branch activity and branch personnel to ensure an efficient and positive member experience.
  • Greet and welcome members and visitors to the credit union in a professional manner. Provide prompt, efficient and accurate service in the processing of transactions.
  • May assist with scheduling personnel to ensure proper staffing.
  • Work with Lead Teller to ensure that Teller meetings and training sessions are held regularly to keep staff up to date on security, operations, and audit controls.
  • Resolve member problems/inquiries beyond the authority of other branch personnel.
  • Provide back up to MSA staff to open accounts and complete loan applications as needed.
  • Work with Manager to maintain focus on sales, service, and cross-selling efforts within the branch.
  • Report branch issues, personnel problems, and operational concerns to Branch Manager.
  • Work with Auditors to ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Perform surprise cash audits on Lead Teller and work with Lead Teller to ensure surprise cash audits are performed on all Tellers on as needed.
  • Assist Manager in monitoring branch activity, including number of transactions, teller errors, loans, new accounts, and adherence to Credit Union policies.
  • Assist management staff with special projects, interviewing and hiring, and other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager.
  • Assume leadership in the absence of Branch Manager.
  • Assist with escalated member issues while maintaining excellent member service.
  • Mentor MSA’s and Tellers to strengthen skills for recommending appropriate products and services that meet members’ needs.
  • Comply with all Federal regulations, Credit Union policies and procedures, including Bank Secrecy and the USA Patriot Act.
  • Perform job duties in accordance with the Credit Union's values, mission and vision.
minimum requirements:
  • Associate degree or equivalent educational and work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years Credit Union/ Financial Services experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and supervisory skills.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong PC skills including Microsoft suite of products.
