R10010100 Solutions Architect - Infrastructure (Open) Location: Radnor, PA (Airgas HO) - ManagementIA United States of America How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? The Solution Architect (SA) is responsible for analyzing and translating business requirements and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint that outlines solutions to achieve complex business objectives. The SA provides system administrator support, service delivery project management and delivers solution architectures based on standards that meet the strategic needs of the business in alignment with the Airgas Technical Services strategy. This involves working effectively with application system admins, the Cloud Engineering team and service providers, Architects & Solution experts, Third-party consultants and others across the Air Gas and Air Liquide Enterprise. In particular, you will: Manage and monitor installed Windows/Linux systems and infrastructure. Solid technical hands-on background in network operations/virtual server operations/data center operations/server builds/backups/restores to include Windows o/s, Linux, Red Hat, VMWare, and Active Directory management required. Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools. Develop and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiencies and reduce manual interventions. Participate in the design of informational and operational support activities. Create, maintain and update technical architecture documentation to include system diagrams, data flows, and system integration points. Architect, design, communicate, and deliver innovative end-to-end solutions. Provide necessary Airgas technical oversight, design, architecture and development review to deliver against the IT and business roadmap. Manage Airgas processes, protocols, and standards for architecture designs coordinated with various stakeholder and business partner groups. Participate in resolving technology integration problems and perform integration architecture and infrastructure design activities. Gather, analyze and report various performance metrics for the management of network, access management, and systems infrastructure. Collect and report systems utilization and performance metrics for services and systems from the team, and utilize these metrics to forecast future capacity requirements. Develop and maintain a capacity management plan to provide ongoing analysis, forecast future capacity requirements, and recommend capacity enhancements and performance improvements. Participate in Incident Review processes, deliver reports and complete action items resulting from the review processes. Perform analysis of current infrastructure deployment, patching, etc and then work with team to automate routine tasks. Manage or support the technical and functional infrastructure activities with a team to support daily system/network and infrastructure operations to meet task requirements. Deliver ongoing regular status updates on team performance for assigned projects or solution design activities to meet deadlines. Create timelines; and determine costs and resources needed. Generate a detailed plan and schedule for each stage of the project. Plan and manage business projects, and make sure they are completed on time, within scope and budget to meet the needs of the client. Ensure customer satisfaction through quality work and effective communication throughout project and business initiatives. Act as a mentor, coach or trainer to all stakeholders by sharing business, technical, or design expertise. ________________________ Are you a MATCH? Are you a MATCH? 5 years of technical experience (Windows/Linux).Working knowledge of Google Suite of products. Proven experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows/Linux based environments. Solid scripting skills to support environments and integration as needed. Cloud Hosting integration experience, preferably in AWS. Experience in performance tuning, monitoring systems and reporting. Experience working with multidisciplinary business teams in a matrix environment. Able to gather, organize and prioritize project requirements. Lead and perform project management activities and present as needed– (Waterfall and/or Agile) Experience working with and managing 3rd party suppliers to accomplish business or project objectives. Report the project progress to NIS leadership and to business stakeholders. Superior client facing support services and internal communication skills required. Detailed- Oriented , ability to multitask lead and work on multiple projects is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required, and ability to plan and manage multiple projects and operations in an active operations environment required. Ability to mentor, coach or offer training to all stakeholders by sharing business, technical, or design expertise. Negotiate with contractors and suppliers for materials and/or services where applicable. Risk Management to avoid delays or IT Service disruption. REQUIREMENTS: BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering or commensurate level of experience. Proven working experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows/Linux systems. Solid Cloud experience, preferably with AWS or Azure. Experience in monitoring systems, handling system performance challenges and reporting.
