About the Position

The Warehouse Support person performs tasks involving physical labor throughout the warehouse, yard and office. Works primarily in the warehouse environment, and also frequently works outdoors while inventorying products and loading trucks.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Deliver and make runs for the warehouse, as directed
• Prep trucks; clean and load with materials
• Assist with preventive maintenance and safety checks on all equipment and machinery, as required
• Stock items from suppliers into designated locations
• Maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse and yard
• Keep grounds free of tire hazards, i.e. nails, welding rods, etc.
• Supply support to office personnel when requested
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Driver’s License required; Class A CDL preferred
• Valid forklift operator certification, or ability to obtain

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

General understanding of construction materials; General knowledge of safety in warehouse environment; Ability to work with hand tools; Ability to operate a forklift; Ability to lift 10-50 pounds frequently; Ability to lift over 50 pounds occasionally; Ability to multi-task; Ability to work safely and efficiently.
