Job Mission This position contributes to the company’s success by serving as the plant’s CMMS administrator while at the same time serving as an administrative support person for the department. Job Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Coordinate and direct maintenance personnel and activities. Work in conjunction with Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Manager in directing maintenance personnel.
Carry out directions from the Maintenance Supervisor.
Communicate and coordinate maintenance activities with the Maintenance Manager.
Assist in determining work priorities, planning, scheduling, assigning and reviewing work.
Provide guidance and instructions to other mechanics in their daily activities and has lead responsibility for special projects.
Troubleshoot and determine root cause, analysis, diagnose equipment malfunctions or issues utilizing computer, PLC program.
Troubleshoot production line equipment issues with other mechanics when called; diagnose problems; determine corrective action.
Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports documenting the activities and work performed by maintenance department, including all equipment repairs from breakdowns, work orders or PMs.
Assist in maintaining the maintenance office and departmental records.
Work on project list assigned by Maintenance Supervisor.
Supervise and direct service contractors in the plant.
Provide break or vacation relief for other mechanics as necessary.
Perform all work in accordance with GMP and safety procedures.
Responsible for overseeing down day activities and plant lockdown for the weekend.
Responsible for having a valid contact number and responding to emergency call outs.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
AS or BS degree or technical certificate in a related discipline a plus.
5 years of experience as a maintenance worker, preferably in a food manufacturing environment along with supervisory/lead background.
Strong mechanical skills- welding, grinding, cutting and some electrical skills- calibrating PLC, weighing systems, and wiring of circuitry.
Reads, writes and speaks English.
Basic proficiency in addition, subtraction and fractions. Understands temperature and weight measures.
