Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate individual with a business mindset to join our team as an Entrepreneurship Instructor for our Summer Enrichment Camp.

As an Entrepreneurship Instructor, you will play a pivotal role in exposing students to financial literacy as well as inspiring and empowering young minds to explore the world of entrepreneurship, financial literacy, marketing with YouTube, and / or web design.

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the next generation of innovators and leaders.

Our ideal candidate has worked professionally with school-age students for at least one year or is currently enrolled in an accredited university.

  • Develop and deliver engaging curriculum modules to introduce campers to fundamental concepts of financial literacy, including budgeting, saving, investing, and understanding the basics of entrepreneurship finance.
  • Guide campers through the entrepreneurial journey, from ideation to execution.
  • Foster creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills by encouraging campers to develop and refine their business ideas through interactive workshops, group activities, and real-world simulations.
  • Introduce campers to the fundamentals of marketing through YouTube, emphasizing creative storytelling, audience engagement strategies, and digital content creation.

Provide hands-on experience in planning, producing, and promoting video content tailored to young audiences.

  • Introduce campers to the principles of web design, including layout, navigation, and user experience. Facilitate hands-on activities and projects to teach campers how to design and build their own websites using user-friendly platforms and tools.
  • Provide guidance, encouragement, and mentorship to campers as they explore and pursue their interests in entrepreneurship, marketing, and web design.

Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where campers feel empowered to take risks, experiment, and learn.

Collaborate with camp staff to integrate entrepreneurship education into cross-disciplinary activities and programming.

Communicate regularly with campers' parents or guardians to provide updates on their progress and achievements.

  • Ensure the safety of campers during hands-on activities, adhering to established safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Assess campers' progress and understanding through observation, informal assessments, and project evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support their growth and development.
  • Document progress to discuss with Camp Supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or currently enrolled in a business field such as business management, marketing, or related field from an accredited university.
  • Prior experience teaching or working with children and young adults in a classroom or camp setting.
  • Strong knowledge of financial literacy principles, entrepreneurship fundamentals, marketing concepts, and web design basics.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative, energetic, and enthusiastic about inspiring and empowering young learners.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all campers.
  • CPR / First Aid certification (preferred).
  • Background check clearance (required).
  • This is a seasonal, full-time position for the duration of the summer camp program, July 8 - August 16, 2024. The position may be extended to evenings and / or weekends during the school year.
