THE LEARNING SPOT is Hiring a Grades K - 5 Math Tutor Near Hillside, NJ

Job Summary

We are looking for experienced and reliable Tutors to join our educational team. We are currently looking to fill positions for one-on-one, and/or small group tutoring. Ideal candidates will provide math support for K-5th grade students. Tutors will be responsible for documenting completed tasks and communicating student’s progress with parents and our Learning Specialists. Our ideal candidate has worked professionally with school-age students for at least one year either as a teacher, tutor, counselor, assistant or coach, etc. He/she must also be comfortable the skills identified in secondary math such as physics, geometry, algebra, etc. If you posses the qualities needed for this position, you will be working with certified teachers and will be trained.

Responsibilities and Duties

Set lesson goals and milestones.
Plan and implement lessons.
Provide encouragement and positive motivation
Prepare materials specific to upcoming assessments/ projects.
Collaborate with parents and Instructional Specialists to evaluate student needs
Document progress to discuss with parents and Instructional Specialists
