Key Responsibilities:

• Design, evaluate, and implement short-term and long-term payroll policies and processes.
• Provide proactive leadership and guidance to resolve payroll issues.
• Direct local payroll staff and business unit teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
• Analyze complex transactions, identify issues, and implement plans for improvement.
• Establish strategic partnerships with internal departments and manage external vendor relationships.
• Provide thought leadership within HR Operations.
• Lead, coach, and develop a diverse team.
• Participate in audits and maintain open communications regarding payroll developments.
• Identify and mitigate potential payroll-related risks and implement controls.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll data.

Qualifications:

• 10 years of management experience.
• 10 years' experience with multistate payroll and large employee populations.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Experience with Workday and/or PeopleSoft 9.1 or higher.
• Certified Payroll Professional or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
• Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proven history of successful leadership.
• Experience leading payroll system integrations.
