Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Tool & Die Maker with expertise in tool building, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting. This role involves mold making, repair, and maintenance of plastic injection molds, utilizing CNC and milling machines, interpreting blueprints and schematics, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot various types of tooling.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
• Manufacture and repair plastic injection molds to meet production needs.
• Operate CNC and milling machines to fabricate precision components.
• Interpret blueprints and schematics to guide machining processes.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards for safety in tooling operations.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repairs.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in tool building, mold making, and maintenance.
• Experience in plastic injection molds and CNC machining.
• Strong troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills.
• Blueprint reading and schematic interpretation proficiency.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards for safety in manufacturing.
• Excellent record-keeping abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week

Experience:

• Electrical discharge machining: 1 year (Preferred)
• CNC: 1 year (Preferred)
• Plastics injection molding: 1 year (Preferred)
• toolmaking: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Journeyman License (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

• Austin, TX (Required)
