Octagon Media is Hiring a Lead Graphic Designer Near Baton Rouge, LA
This graphic designer/ art director position is NOT remote.
You must be in Baton Rouge, LA and work in office M-F 9am-5pm.
OVERVIEW FOR THE GRAPHIC DESIGNER
We are seeking a talented graphic designer and creative leader to join our team. You will be responsible for creating visually appealing designs that effectively communicate brand message and lead/mentor the creative team. You will collaborate with the marketing team to develop engaging graphics for various platforms and projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE GRAPHIC DESIGNER
- Create visually appealing designs for print and digital media, including brochures, flyers, social media graphics
- Lead other designer with creative concepts and keep them abreast of current trends
- Ensure brand consistency across all design projects
- Incorporate color theory and visual design principles into your work
- Able to photograph and edit video for commercial use
- Develop logo designs and branding for various industries
- Extremely strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Artistic ability and creativity to develop unique and innovative design concepts
- Understanding of market trends and consumer preferences (UX/UI)
EXPERIENCE FOR THE GRAPHIC DESIGNER
- Four year degree from an accredited college or university is required
- Proven experience as a Graphic Designer in a professional/ advertising agency setting for 2 years minimum
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier Pro, Final Cut Pro, Figma)
- Familiarity with web design software such as Squarespace, Wix, and Wordpress is preferred
- Experience in website design and 2D animation is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams using project management tools such as Asana, Airtable and Slack

Pay: $20.86 - $25.13 per hour
