We are the market innovator in production environments providing custom manufacturing solutions to our broad base of industrial and automotive customers.

The position located in Auburn Hills, MI requires interpersonal skills for communicating with customers and internal projects, technology engineering, and sales staff. During conversations, customers will draw on your knowledge of engineering principles to assist them with their applications. This, combined with product knowledge, will offer a solution to the customer. Technical communication at various department levels is required. Information may need to be exchanged, with non-technical contacts, that will require a clear technological explanation. Travel as required for business needs.

Sales Engineers are the primary contact to the customer "Key Account" and are responsible for actively driving and managing the sales process. Working in conjunction with the application and project teams as the Key Account advisor and product advocate, the Sales Engineer must be able to identify and provide reliable solutions for all account issues to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. The Sales Engineer must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing customer "Key Account" relationships
  • Uncovering customer applications
  • Reporting customer/project activity within the sales team
  • Recommending solutions in parallel with Application Engineering support
  • Identifying project opportunities at the OEM and tier level
  • Driving top-down TOX solutions – from OEM to Tier 1 to Integrator

Successful candidate should be skilled and be knowledgeable in the following areas:

  • BS in Engineering, technical selling experience, or equivalent successful experience in a similar industry role.
  • Experience 3–5 Years in Engineering and Business Development.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Understand mechanical and electrical blueprints and have basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical control systems.
  • Familiar with Industry Standards such as ISO, DIN, ASME, SAE, etc.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and superior presentation skills.
  • Available for Travel, 30-40% Preferred.
  • Customer Service experience and order management.
  • EV market experience is preferred.
  • Proven track record of new business development in the field of mechanical products.
