Who are we looking for:
As an Assistant Furniture Buyer, you will play a crucial role in the selection and procurement of furniture for our company. You will work closely with our senior buyer to analyze market trends, maintain relationships with suppliers, and assist with inventory management. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for design, a passion for furniture, and a strong commercial awareness.

Job Requirements:

• Assist the Senior Buyer in the development and execution of purchasing strategies.

• Analyze market trends and consumer preferences to identify purchasing opportunities.

• Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices and terms.

• Maintain and update product listings and specifications.

• Monitor inventory levels and sales performance to optimize stock.

• Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of products.

• Participate in trade shows and supplier meetings to discover new products and trends.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Interior Design, or a related field.

• 1-2 years of experience in buying, retail management, or a similar role

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in retail management software and MS Office.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to work flexible schedule, days, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Pleasant and polite manners when dealing with co-workers as well as customers
• Basic reading, math, writing and communication skills
• A commitment to high professional ethical standards
• Ability to safely lift up to 25 pounds on a repetitive basis, and up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis without assistance
• Pass criminal background check and hair follicle drug test
