Who are we looking for :

As an Assistant Decorator Furniture Buyer, you will play a crucial role in choreographing the store vignettes by assisting the senior furniture buyer with the selection, procurement, and placement of decorative accessories to enhance furniture and merchandise the furniture sets with each vignette.

You will collaborate closely with our senior buyer to analyze market trends, maintain relationships with suppliers, and assist with inventory management.

This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for design, a passion for furniture, and a strong commercial awareness.

Job Requirements :

• Physical stamina for lifting and arranging furniture as needed.
• Assist the Senior Buyer in the development and execution of purchasing strategies.
• Analyze market trends and consumer preferences to identify purchasing opportunities.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices and terms.
• Maintain and update product listings and specifications.
• Monitor inventory levels and sales performance to optimize stock.
• Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Participate in trade shows and supplier meetings to discover new products and trends.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Interior Design, or a related field, preferred.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in retail management software and MS Office.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

• Ability to work flexible schedule, days, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Pleasant and polite manners when dealing with co-workers as well as customers
• Basic reading, math, writing and communication skills
• A commitment to high professional ethical standards
• Ability to safely lift up to 25 pounds on a repetitive basis, and up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis without assistance
• Pass criminal background check and hair follicle drug test
