Our organization is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager in the Little Rock, AR to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Accounting Department and ensuring the department creates accurate and timely financial records for the organization. This position requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced office environment.

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for accurate and timely month-end closing processes including variance explanations on the balance sheet & income statement.
  • Prepare, publish timely, and communication of monthly financial statements.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts.
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
  • Preparation and/or review of monthly general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Maintain responsibility for team management and development including training, coaching, and providing feedback on performance.
  • Records, tracks & reconciles all Capital Asset expenditures & disposals and all depreciation expenses.
  • Approve A/P payments weekly and manage cash accordingly.
  • Oversee payroll function for the organization, including independent contractor payments.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Maintain responsibility for team management and development including training, coaching, and providing feedback on performance.

  • BS or BA in Accounting or Finance – 2 years of Accounting/Finance/FP&A experience
  • Strong Knowledge of Accounting Principles, GAAP, and research skills
  • Experienced in accounting software including Quick Books, Shopify, Google
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional groups.
  • Excellent analytical, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work both independently and with others.
  • Goal-oriented self-starter with strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
