Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Technician to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing quality care to patients in various healthcare settings. This position requires knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical documentation. Duties:
- Perform vital signs assessments and record patient information accurately
- Assist with medical procedures such as tube feeding and wound care
- Collect and process laboratory specimens
- Administer medications under the supervision of a healthcare professional
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using electronic health record systems like Epic
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care
- Provide support and assistance to patients and their families during their stay in the hospital or other healthcare facilities
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control measures
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Medical Technician or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices
- Ability to accurately measure vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rate
- Experience working in assisted living facilities, hospitals, or acute care settings is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
