Full Job Description:

Ross Hospital for Animals is looking to add a Veterinary Receptionist to our team! Full-time or part-time qualifications for full-time is 30 hours. We are looking for someone that can work well with others, multitask and has a positive attitude. Ross Hospital for Animals is a full-service animal hospital providing the best in veterinary care. The doctors and staff offer a wide range of veterinary services, designed to meet all the needs of all your pets. Friday 8am to 5pm and Saturday 8am to 12pm. we all work 1 to 2 Saturday’s a month. Pay is based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greeting customers on the phone and in person in a friendly and professional manner.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients by setting appointments, filling prescription refills and assisting them with payments.
• Checking patients in for their appointments by locating medical records and confirming services to be performed.
• Checking patients out following their appointment by preparing and reviewing invoices, verifying charges, taking payments, selling medication and prescription food and review aftercare instructions with client.
• Preparing patients for surgery by reviewing medical history and preparing necessary paperwork such as release forms, cage cards, check in sheets, ID cards, etc.
• Properly register microchips.
• Maintain lobby cleanliness and exam rooms between clients.

Requirement Skills:

• Basic computer skills.
• Comfortable working with cash, credit card and other payment related tasks. Including some math.
• Be able to handle conflicts and problems solving.
• Ability to carry a minimum of 30 lbs. including upstairs and other physical tasks.
• Willingness to help others and adapt to changes.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
