Professional Employment Group of Colorado is Hiring a Payroll Specialist Near Littleton, CO
We are seeking a qualified Payroll Specialist to join our team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll processing for our multi-state operations. This individual will ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and maintenance of payroll records.
Work type: Full time, contract to hire (4-6 month contract)
Pay: $25-35 per hour
US Citizen or Green Card permanent resident status is required
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of payroll processing for multi-state operations.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while complying with applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including deductions, time off accruals, and tax withholdings.
- Work closely with HR and Finance teams to resolve payroll-related issues and inquiries.
- Generate payroll reports and provide analysis as needed.
- Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing.
Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of payroll methods, procedures, controls, laws, and regulations.
- Self-motivated and proactive in staying current with payroll changes through study and seminars.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
- Expert knowledge of payroll and timekeeping systems.
