Minneapolis Club is Hiring a Front Desk Attendant Near Minneapolis, MN

The Minneapolis Club in Downtown Minneapolis has an open position for a part-time Front Desk Attendant. This is a perfect role for you if you are personable and love providing excellent service and being one of the first points of contact for members and the public.
This position is responsible for excellent relationships with members and guests as the Front Desk is the center to all Club happenings. Promotion and booking of Guest Rooms and Dining along with assisting the Front Desk Manager are key components to this position. The Front Desk Attendant must have an overview of the Club operation and go above and beyond member’s requests to exceed their expectations.
Hours for this position are an 8-hour shift from 3pm-11pm Saturday and Sunday every other weekend. You will also fill in on Holidays in rotation with other staff. You will also have the opportunity to pick up additional shifts.
What will you do?

You are responsible for the daily functions of the Front Desk operation which include but are not limited to:

Communications

  • Greet and direct all incoming members and guests at the front door
  • Resolve member or guest problems and concerns as they arise
  • Answer telephones, direct incoming calls and emails, take and convey messages
  • Monitor incoming and outgoing traffic in the Club by way of the intercom or radio
  • Give wake-up calls to overnight guests as requested
  • Guest card requests and issuing of cards
  • Manage member and guest reservations for dining, events and fitness or pool

Financial

  • Desk point of sale and cash transactions
  • Guest room reservations and check-ins/check-outs
  • Sort incoming check payments
  • Verify cash drawer at the start of each shift and close out cash drawer at the end of each shift
Administrative
  • Key logbook
  • Lost & found item log
  • Daily entry into the Log Report
  • Preparation of daily and monthly reports
  • Stamp, sort, and distribute mail, magazines, and newspapers
  • Email/fax transmissions and receipts for members and guests
  • Other ad hoc projects such as stuffing envelopes for mailing, filing, organizing, etc.
Miscellaneous
  • Month end inventory counting
  • Luggage locker procedures
  • Ensure guest rooms are ready for incoming guests
  • Handling of emergency situations and knowledge of all evacuation and alarm procedures
  • Other duties as assigned by the Front Desk Manager as necessary based on business needs.

Ensure the supplies needed to operate are properly stocked.
Maintain an organized and clean workstation that is member ready.

Report all accidents to your supervisor immediately.
Take pride in the club - report all damage or vandalism to club property.
Report all safety hazards to your supervisor.
Follow all club policies and procedures as outlined in the handbook.
Follow all departmental rules communicated by your supervisor.
