Mid Valley Disposal is currently seeking applicants for our dynamic Customer Service Team as a Customer Service Representative. In this role you will help Mid Valley Disposal by supporting our CSR Team and will be responsible for receiving the incoming calls. The successful candidate will have excellent customer service experince and analytical skills, organizational and time management skills, verbal and written communication skills, record keeping skills, problem solving skills and computer skills.

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WOULD BE EXPECTED TO:

  • Responsible for receiving incoming customer calls and finding solutions to service questions/issues.
  • Takes ownership for issues pertaining to customer service questions and researching and providing solutions rather than escalating problems that can be resolved at the first point of contact.
  • Communicate relevant information effectively and coherently to customers and coworkers.
  • Acts in a professional, courteous, cooperative manner toward customers and coworkers.
  • Creates problem-solving solutions for the customer as well as the company.
  • Ethics – Seeks guidance before problems occur and promptly reports concerns or potential violations in accordance with reporting procedures.
  • Compile and organize all the facts required to respond to a customer’s request.
  • Interpersonal Skill – Develops openness and trust with others. Expresses opposing views in a tactful manner that builds teamwork.
  • Multitasking – Ability to effectively manage two or more activities or sources of information.
  • Record Keeping – Keeps records for future reference in an organized manner. Organizes information others can use easily. Keeps up with new incoming records.


EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

Minimum Knowledge and Skills Required

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. certification required.
  • Computer Skills – Proficient in Microsoft applications and general software applications uses.
  • The ability to provide customer service support respectfully and effectively in a high-volume customer service environment.
  • Effective listening and comprehension skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to remain customer service focused during situations in which customers may be notably frustrated.
  • Ability to commit to a regular work schedule with little absenteeism, must be able to work with defined, rigid schedules in which timed lunches and breaks are predefined.
  • Knowledge of the waste management industry is preferred but not required.
  • Bilingual skills are desirable but not a requirement.


Hourly rate will be determined based on experience, $18-$20 Hourly.

Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required. This is a full-time position with a benefits package. Salary/Hourly rate will be determined based on experience and training of the candidate. Schedule will be Monday through Friday.
