This position requires an experienced sales professional to develop sales and maintain existing sales by working directly with distributors? sales teams. The qualified candidate must be Energetic, assertive, organized, self-motivated and customer focused sales professional with a desire to succeed. The sales representative will develop relationships with restaurant owners, kitchen managers and senior level decision makers.
Education / Experience:
? Requirements include 5 years Foodservice Sales experience
? Knowledge of food industry related to menu applications Etc.
? Ability to develop and deliver Sales presentations
? The ability to self-start and work independently
? Excellent leadership and motivational skills with the ability to develop customer relationships.
? MS Office: Utilization of Excel to analyze sales numbers, PowerPoint to create customer presentations, and Word to create professional business letter correspondence.
? Bi-Lingual English and Spanish ? helpful.
Responsibilities:
? To increase and expand company sales.
? Collaborate with distributor sales team members on new account visits and order product samples.
? Visit the customers together, presenting the items of interest and explaining the benefits.
? Initiate New Customer Set up by providing the customer with Distributor Item Codes, product application, uses and
benefits and more importantly, follow through to ensure that the customer has all the pertinent information needed to place the order with the distributor.
? Analyze customer / end user needs and provide similar products. Submit sample request.
? Once the new customer has received their 1st order, contact them to ensure that the product is working out for them.
? Communicate with other departments i.e.. Category managers, Accounting, Production and Quality Assurance to meet sales objectives.
? Establish customer relationships to maximize revenues.
? Monitor sales of the new accounts by maintaining customer visits.
? Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor offers, new product development and customer requirements.
? Must be proven performer in proposal development and achieving required quotas.
? Implement strategies to grow sales and expand market share.
? Develop product knowledge of all company Product offers.
? Set up and participate in food shows as needed. Build account relationships beyond the buying level to ensure the involvement of key decision makers and kitchen staff.
? Provide optimum levels of customer service.
? Create sales reports / analysis as needed
? Maintain supporting documentation of New Customers acquisitions i.e.. Log or Register.
? Communicate Weekly or monthly projections to distributor buyers so that inventory is available and maintained for new customer purchases.
** $65,000 base pay with bonus opportunities
