Job Description

• Handling all daily ocean import shipments from pre-alert until invoicing
• Providing expert advise to clients regarding logistic processes, documentation, inspections, letters of credit, or any other shipping questions which may arise;
• Arranging pick up of cargo and delivery of cargo to final destination;
• Assisting/ forwarding all necessary information and documentation to Customs Broker in order to clear shipments in accordance with U.S. government regulations;
• Preparing and/or processing Delivery Orders and Arrival Notices;
• Preparing and/or processing sending advance notifications of shipments or other documents to brokers, agents or consignees as required;
• Coordinating the movement of shipments between origin and destination;
• Tracking shipments and sending regular status reports to clients;
• Data input/ logging files;
• Communicating with all external and internal partners as well as customers to ensure smooth transport arrangement;
• Operating according to our Standard Operation Procedures;
• Support General Manager with General Office duties

Qualifications

• High school degree required;
• 3-5 years' experience with ocean imports (required) and air imports (preferred);
• Strong Understanding of Ocean Import regulations and documentation;
• Able to work in a team
• Experience in using and navigating CargoSoft software is a plus;
• Attention to detail and excellent oral and written skills required, customer service experience required;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.
