Job Description Job Description Cleared Virtualization EngineerPosition SummaryColossal Contracting, LLC is looking for a Secret Cleared Virtualization Network Engineer to sit onsite in Knoxville, TN providing support to our government customer. An ideal candidate will have expert level networking experience with a specialization in virtualization. Technical experience is as important as interpersonal communication and customer service in this role.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPlan, build and manage the existing footprint and expansion of all aspects of a data center including:Rack, Infrastructure, Cable Design & ManagementDevice Network & IP Management.Issue Resolution Management of Infrastructure & Network.Asset and capacity Management.Vendor Management.Compliance Management.Generate clear technical documentation of new, existing, evolving data center and network implementation.Own high and low visibility issues and be accountable for resolving them.Fix & resolve incidents, providing excellent levels of clear communication.Innovate - Identify and lead continuous improvement of systems, tools, and processes.Learn quickly and take the lead on the management and operations.Ambitiously prioritize and fully complete projects.Collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively.Mentor new or less experienced team members.Communicate professionally and prudently to all internal and external partners.Clearly articulate project status or challenges to leadership.Required ExperienceMinimum of an active Secret Clearance (can cage up to TS/SCI).5 years in Data Center Operations & Production Network Operation roles.3 years experience with various Operating Systems: Windows, Linux, and Cisco network operating systems.Strong Data Center Knowledge including Nexus Routing & Switching and NX-OS configuration.Knowledge and/or hand-on experience with Cisco Hyperflex or FlexPod solution architectures.VMWare, ESXi, vCenter, and VM networking.Strong experience in the following products / solutions:Cisco Nexus 2000, 3000, 5000, 7000, 9000 (emphasis on NX-OS mode 9000 Series).Experience with managing and maintaining NetApp storage systems/clusters (emphasis on A250 and FAS2750).UCS server management (Cisco C-Series Servers and UCS Fabric Interconnects).Strong experience operating and troubleshooting networks with segmentation and virtualization.Experience with implementing dynamic routing various protocols OSPF, EIGRP and BGP.Experience with virtual machine networking configuration and troubleshooting.Experience with security compliance and STIGs in a network and compute environment.TravelNonePosition Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position, Monday through Friday onsite.Job Type:Full-time employee.Benefits OfferedCompetitive base salary ranging from $80,000-$90,000 pending experience.PTO100% Employer paid Health for employee.401kColossal Contracting, LLC is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) who takes pride in supporting our CUSTOMERS and COUNTRY.
