Colossal Contracting LLC is Hiring a Contracts Specialist Near Annapolis, MD

Description

Colossal Contracting, LLC is looking for a Contracts Specialist that will support Operations team working closely with Federal Programs and Sales remotely with the capability to report to our Annapolis, MD headquarters when necessary. The Contracts Specialist will be responsible for the development, analysis and review of complex federal contracts and documents including but not limited to NDAs, Teaming Agreements, Solicitations, SOWs, and MSAs and will assist with compliance and audits for CMMI, CMMC, CUI and others. An ideal candidate will have multiple years of experience working within federal contracting in support of contracts for DoD and Civilian agencies and must be knowledgeable of FAR and DFAR regulations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Full cycle contract administration.
  • Read, review, analyze, and interpret contracts and other documents.
  • Provide the oversight and evaluation of major contract efforts.
  • Be a critical asset in key negotiations, resolve performance issues, identify risks & propose mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with Colossal or federal policies. 
  • Work directly with Operations, Sales and Federal Programs to review, edit and develop contracts.
  • Develop and maintain a high degree of contract understanding and work as a liaison between sales and operations. 
  • Edit, proof, format contracts as needed.
  • Coordinate elements of contracts to ensure compliance with instructions.
  • Assist with special projects related to pre and post submission activities.
  • Ensure 100 percent compliance for all contracts.
  • Document action items, meeting minutes, due dates and set expectations.
  • Solicit and process complex information and data to solve complex problems and make sound decisions. 
  • Maintain internal processes.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  •  Bachelors Degree or comparable work experience in a writing or editing discipline.
  • 4 years of experience contract management and analysis within government contracting. 
  • Ability to analyze potential costs and benefits of proposed contracts.
  • Excellent written and research skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple contract efforts simultaneously.
  • The position requires knowledge of federal government contracting, the FAR, and DFARS. 

Travel 

None, this position will sit remote but will report to our Annapolis, MD HQ.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work 

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday 8:30am-5pm.
