Full Sail Brewing Company is Hiring a Warehouse Manager Near Hood River, OR

With a passion to execute, lessen waste and improve quality and systems, the Warehouse Manager partners across the organization to ensure the fulfillment of company products, productivity, and profitability consistently & predictably. Directing, leading, and developing the team, the Warehouse Manager ensures the team has the tools/training to SAFELY and with high quality, perform all warehouse functions. This leadership role is relied upon by management as a domain expert and facilitates the organization’s ability to achieve autonomous, self-sufficient operations through systems, data and process improvement.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop and execute Warehouse procedures and processes to ensure daily shift plan attainment and proactively communicate inhibitors without delay.
  • Manage, lead and develops warehouse team and material coordinators to seek to improve, master and become certified in relevant SOPs and safety protocols, including systems ERP data entry and reconciliation, forklift operations, bill of lading & shift/plan execution, materials storage, accurate and timely documentation reporting.
  • Coordinate with other Operations teams (e.g., packaging, brewing, supply chain, procurement) to ensure continuous, uninterrupted flow of raw materials and finished goods.
  • In tight coordination with operations teams ensure timely set up of item #s and transactions necessary to facilitate physical movements within the ERP system.
  • Collaborate with brewing, packaging, and order fulfillment leaders to monitor plans and adjustments to inventory, material consumption, finished goods shipments and related issues that may impact work orders, shipments, plans or financials. (e.g., disposition quarantined or rejected materials for returns to suppliers)
  • Manage the obsolescence and disposal of inventory in coordination with approval stakeholders.
  • Manage inventory movements to ensure FIFO is concrete.
  • Ensure materials receiving, consumption and resultant finished goods are accurately accounted for daily. Cycle count materials on schedule to ensure no interruption or delay in production plans and financial closing procedures.
  • Work with Brewmaster, Brewing Manager and other leaders in the appropriate handling of chemicals and other agents or ingredients that require safety parameters in storage, use and disposal.
  • Accurately complete and update information forms, logs, inspection sheets and systems to report timely logistics data, zero waste, matched physical/systems movement of materials and quality throughout the process.
  • Facilitate the onboarding, training, and certification of new team members.
  • Manage shift and other reports to reflect accurate daily shift activities, outcomes, and key performance indicators/metrics.
  • Proactively help develop a team safety, quality and compliance mindset and practice. Ensure company policy adherence. Pursue a constructive environment of accountability, performance, contribution, leaning and camaraderie.
  • Manage customer relations by actively/accurately communicating and coordinating materials to meet customer needs.
  • Proactively identify and pursue process improvement opportunities to increase the efficiency of warehouse operations. Participate in broader Ops improvement projects and attend interdepartmental meetings.

Qualifications

  • At least 3-5 years of related logistics, warehousing and inventory management experience and demonstrated results in developing and improving scalable operations.
  • 2-3 years of team supervisory experience.
  • A demonstrated ability to exceed performance expectations, especially in categories of attendance, safety, teamwork, communications, and written procedure (i.e., SOPs) is required.
  • Demonstrated competencies in beverage, food or other like consumer packaged or processed goods.
  • Knowledgeable workplace safety training, certifications and injury prevention protocols.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (e.g., Outlook, Excel). Demonstrated experience and familiarity with CMMS, MES and ERP systems developing and driving change adoption of them into the standard operations.
  • Experience participating in the improvement initiatives, lean, deployment and commissioning of new equipment to scale operations.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to juggle multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and execute successfully in a fast-paced environment.
  • An effective and persuasive communicator with great team presence and team development mindset.


Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

This position will require time shared between an office and Brewery/Manufacturing plant environment. Working conditions may include loud noises, extreme temperatures, enclosed spaces. Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, hair nets, ear plugs and steel toe boots (as required by company policy).
