Job Title: GIS Analyst

Position Description

Weris is currently seeking a skilled GIS Analyst to bolster our team in providing support to the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) on a 12-month contract. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining GIS data resources, collaborating in meetings with business leaders to gather requirements, and diligently completing assigned tasks and projects. Your expertise will be pivotal in digitizing, creating, and maintaining GIS databases, as well as producing maps and other data representations.

This is a hybrid role with work performed remote and onsite at the customer site located in Middletown, PA or at the Weris corporate headquarters located in Sterling, VA.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Ensure the integrity and accessibility of GIS data resources to support PTC initiatives.
• Collaborate with business leaders to gather requirements and essential information crucial for project completion.
• Update GIS Databases; utilize your expertise to digitize, create, maintain, display, and update GIS databases accurately and efficiently.
• Generate maps and other data representations using GIS tools, ensuring clarity and precision.
• Record and document details of map updates, additions, or deletions for future reference and accuracy.

Qualifications- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Demonstrated proficiency with GIS tools and techniques, with minimum of 5 years of GIS Analyst experience.
• Degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geospatial Engineering or related field.
• Ability to create compelling data visualizations to communicate complex information effectively.
• Proficiency in Esri ArcGIS software suite, including various extensions such as Network Analyst, 3D Analyst, and Spatial Analysis.
• Familiarity with SAP modules including BW (Business Warehouse), FI (Financial Accounting), LO (Logistics), HCM (Human Capital Management), and SRM (Supplier Relationship Management).
• Experience with Agile Assets software for asset management.
• Knowledge of OnBase document management system.
• Experience with ServiceNow platform, particularly in Idea, Project, and Demand Modules.
• Communication skills are essential.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
