Job Title: Mid-Level Marketing Specialist

Position Description

Weris is seeking a Mid-Level Marketing Specialist to join our team on a contract supporting the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). In this support role you will working with a marketing team across FHWA training units to provide technical support for various webinars and virtual events, manage social media campaigns for targeted initiatives, provide SharePoint content updates and maintenance, support the development of marketing campaigns, and website content reviews and updates.

This is a hybrid role with most work performed at a designated home location OR as requested at a FHWA customer site.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Conduct strategy sessions with internal customers to determine their needs and goals.
• Develop integrated marketing campaigns and collateral to meet the goals for various office programs and initiatives.
• Provide options and recommendations to internal customers when possible.
• Draft clear requirements for creative staff (video, photography, graphics) and create and manage project schedules.
• Write and edit content for a variety of communications media including social media, presentations, flyers, SharePoint, and web content.
• Assist in optimizing audience engagement for in-person (tradeshows and conferences) and virtual events.
• Provide technical support for meetings hosted in Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
• Manage and launch online participant engagement activities through Zoom polls, Crowdpurr, and Mentimeter.
• Develop Social Media campaigns for targeted initiatives across all FHWA training units.
• Responsible for SharePoint content updates and maintenance across all units.
• Provide StaffNet content reviews and updates, including calendar appointments and reviewing content for accuracy.
• Fulfill creative work, such as collateral updates in InDesign and/or Illustrator, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Provide planning and onsite support for conferences and tradeshows.

Qualifications- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related discipline.
• 3-5 years’ experience in a marketing or communications role.
• Strong organization and prioritization skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven success in a collaborative environment.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Programs, Zoom platform, and online technical participant engagement tools and polling.

Preferred experience with Section 508 compliance for all marketing outreach products, enhancing accessibility of information (Americans with Disabilities Act).
