Job Title: Business Analyst

Location: Remote/Hybrid

Type: Full-time

Position Description

Weris is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our team on a 12-month contract supporting the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC). As a vital member of our team, you will play a crucial role in facilitating requirement elicitation, critical thinking, problem-solving, and project management. This hybrid role offers flexibility, with the majority of work performed at a designated home location or as requested at PTC customer sites.

This is a hybrid role with work performed remote and occasionally onsite at the customer located in Middletown, PA or at the Weris corporate headquarters located in Sterling, VA.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Facilitate Requirement Elicitation: Conduct meetings with business leaders to gather requirements and pertinent information essential for task completion or project success.
  • Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: Demonstrate exceptional critical thinking skills to address complex challenges and find effective solutions.
  • Visual Information Modeling: Utilize your experience to visually model information obtained during elicitation meetings, ensuring clarity and comprehension.
  • Define KPIs: Identify and define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including business rules, ownership, data sources, and optimal visualization methods.
  • Project Scope Coordination: Coordinate with business owners and other analysts to define and refine project scopes, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Project Management: Perform project management duties during the planning and requirement gathering phases, ensuring projects adhere to PTC and PMO guidelines.
  • Stakeholder Relationship Management: Develop and maintain productive working relationships with technology staff, business owners, project sponsors, vendors, PTC BRM, PTC Project Management Office (PMO), and key clients.

Qualifications- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • 5 Years of Business Analyst Experience: Demonstrated expertise as a business analyst on projects of various sizes and subject matters, including Data Analytics, Dashboarding, and GIS.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or a similar field.
  • Data Visualizations: Proficiency in data visualizations using QlikView and Qlik Sense, with a knack for creating compelling and informative visual representations of data.
  • GIS Experience: Experience using GIS tools, particularly ArcGIS, to analyze and visualize spatial data effectively.
  • SAP Knowledge: Familiarity with SAP modules, including BW (Business Warehouse), FI (Financial Accounting), LO (Logistics), HCM (Human Capital Management), and SRM (Supplier Relationship Management).
  • Agile Assets: Experience with Agile Assets software for asset management.
  • ServiceNow Experience: Proficiency in ServiceNow platform, particularly in Idea, Project, Incident, Problem, Change, and Demand Modules.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, tailored to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences.
  • Strong prioritization and multitasking abilities to manage concurrent projects effectively.
